Bullying & Exploitation Prevention

Children with disabilities are more likely to be bullied and exploited. If a student with a disability is being bullied or exploited, action needs to be taken to stop it and prevent it from recurring.

Helpful Organizations:

  • “Many students with disabilities are already addressing unique challenges in school. When they are bullied, it can directly impact their ability to learn and grow.

    • School avoidance and higher rates of absenteeism

    • Lower grades

    • Inability to concentrate

    • Loss of interest in academic achievement

    • Increase in dropout rates”
