The final Wyoming Chapter 7 Rules Governing Services for Children with Disabilities have been signed into effect by Governor Freudenthal on 3-22-2010 for students ages 3 to 21. These rules have many references to the federal IDEA statute and additional rules Dec 2008.

Senate File 36, Seclusion/Restraints Bill signed into effect by Governor Mead on 2-24-2011. AN ACT relating to public schools; requiring the state superintendent to adopt rules and regulations regarding seclusion and restraint in schools; requiring school district boards to adopt policies regarding the use of seclusion and restraint in schools as specified; defining terms; and providing for an effective date.

Parents Helping Parents of Wyoming, Inc is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1990. Governed by a board of directors, the majority who are parents or family members of children with disabilities, PHP 's mission is to help families become more active in their children’s learning and education, to serve and support children with and without disabilities through advocacy, education, and referral. PHP of WY is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization; therefore, your donation is tax deductible. We welcome all donations. Every donation helps us strengthen our network of support for families.
